Hal Stowers, environmental artist, painter, printmaker and
sculptor... emerged from the 60's, influenced by Rock n Roll, the Blues, his Harley, island beach journeys
from Florida to California, and Landscape Architecture (BLA, University of Florida '67; MLA, University of California
at Berkeley '69; Member, ASLA). His art has led him to adventures coast to coast in the U.S.A., Holland, Belgium,
France, England, his home port in Florida (from the Panhandle to the Keys), the Bahama Islands, Jamaica and Costa
Rica. With intense passion Hal Stowers pursues his life's work to lift humankind's spirit and to bring about greater awareness and concern for our disappearing natural ecosystems and their unique habitats worldwide. |

HIS CORPORATE & PRIVATE COLLECTORS SAY Hal's art helps them see in nature things they have never seen before. They like to surround themselves with his images. They say it is like a soothing tonic -- an important contrast to the often chaotic urban environment. His art is a bridge, bringing back fond memories, adventures, places, and sensations they have experienced. It helps them express to others their own sensitivity, feelings, appreciation and regard for the natural environment.

"My continuing concern is for both the
fragility of our natural environment and the human spirit. I would like my work to serve as an uplifting buoy.
