IT'S SNOOK TIME!
" LoveSNOOK " by Hal Stowers
"This beloved Snook was painted in what locals call the "Love Tunnel"
-- a rich, mangrove canopied tidal creek of Cayo Costa island, south of
Boca Grande, Florida, and somewhat west of Cabbage Key."
"Last year I introduced the mighty Tarpon as the first image in my
"FREE AGAIN!" Series. Now -- IT'S SNOOK TIME!
I have just completed "LoveSNOOK," the second image in the Series. Amongst myriad snook encounters, it
was in the mangrove lush Pine Island Sound area near Boca Grande, Florida, that our most recent snook odyssey took
place. Indeed the stealthy snook is elusive, and when you're on to a good "bite," especially within a
mangrove tangle, the hook up can get pretty intense. There's something wildly magical when a large snook explodes
out of the water, throws the hook and says, FREE AGAIN! |
It's my heartfelt desire to capture the raw essence, mystique and adventure of these unforgettable moments."
